The St. Anthony West Neighborhood Organization is located in northeast Minneapolis, the birthplace of our city. Our historic neighborhood was established in 1849 on the banks of the Mississippi River as the Village of St. Anthony Falls. Later we were merged with the new city of Minneapolis in the late 1850s. Today we are proud to be one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods and pleased to be a part of the transformation taking place along the river in northeast Minneapolis. STAWNO is the designated citizen participation organization for this community. Our meetings are open to the public, and we welcome your comments, questions and participation.
